    About Ellen L. Adams, LCSW

    Born out of a desire to teach people how to heal themselves using all resources available, Adams Counseling Service, PLLC’s mission is to provide the community with comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment services. Our therapist,  Ellen Adams earned her BS in Criminal Justice from South Carolina State University and her MSSW from University of Wisconsin Madison. Ellen is licensed as a clinical social worker and a licensed clinical addiction specialist associate in North Carolina. Ellen has over 20 years experience working with men, women, and adolescents dealing with mental health, substance use, and other disorders. Using various treatment modalities,  Ellen strives to ensure the client understands their disorder and how to manage symptoms and issues as they arise.
